The Weekly Tone
Today, I want to dive deeper into a topic that many of us can relate to - the courage it takes to make a change when we realize that something we've invested significant time and energy into just isn't working.
It’s happened to me dozens (hundreds?) of times and it’ll happen to you if you’re seeking more out of life.
Often, it's not the realization that something needs to change that poses the biggest challenge - it's summoning the bravery to actually take that leap. The in-between phase is painful.
Escaping requires facing our fears head-on and having the strength to let go of what no longer serves our mission, even when it feels uncomfortable (because we have no idea where the hell we’re headed next).
When we sink our hearts and souls into an endeavor, whether it's a business, a job, or a personal project, it becomes intertwined with our identities and sense of self. We may fear that making a change will be a reflection of failure or inadequacy. We worry about what others will think or how our lives will be perceived.
But let me assure you, dear friend, that the courage to make the change is often the hardest part. It's the hurdle that stands between where you are now and the new possibilities that await you on the other side. It's the decision that will lead you towards a path better aligned with your passions, values, and dreams.
When we gather the courage to make that change, we open ourselves up to growth and transformation. We create space for new opportunities, experiences, and relationships to enter our lives. We break free from the constraints of what isn't working and allow ourselves to explore what truly lights us up.
So, if you find yourself at a crossroads, contemplating a change that stirs a mix of excitement and fear within you, I encourage you to take a moment and reflect. Remind yourself of your innate resilience, strength, and capability.
Start by asking yourself a new question. What could I do differently that would work and be easier to accomplish?
Recognize that making a change is not synonymous with failure—we don’t use that word here. It's a sign of awareness, adaptability, and the willingness to evolve. It's a testament to your commitment to living a life that is authentic.
Courage is not the absence of fear; it's taking action despite the fear. Know that you have the strength within you to create a life that is aligned with your passions, values, and dreams.
The road may be uncertain, but with every courageous step, you move closer to a life that brings you joy, fulfillment, and purpose.
Wishing you the courage to make the changes that align with your most authentic self.
